A 25-year-old Hays man allegedly threatened a person with a machete outside of the Golden Q on Sunday night.
Henry Alexander Fuentes, 25, of Hays allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute with another person inside of the Golden Q, 809 Ash, in Hays on Sunday night, Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler said.
A video camera allegedly captured video of Fuentes leaving the bar and retrieving a machete from his vehicle, Scheibler said.
The person that Fuentes had allegedly been arguing with exited the bar, and Fuentes allegedly approached him with the machete in such a manner that the victim feared great bodily harm, Scheibler said.
Hays police officers were called to the scene at about 11:24 p.m. Officers allegedly found a machete in the suspect's vehicle, Scheibler said.
Fuentes was arrested on requested charges of aggravated assault, criminal threat and public possession of alcohol, Scheibler said.
No one was injured in the incident.
