The 12th-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball team wraps up a busy week this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 29-30) when the Tigers take on a pair of former RMAC rivals in Colorado. FHSU will first battle Regis on Friday beginning at 6 p.m. (5 p.m. MT) in Denver before taking on Colorado School of Mines beginning at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. MT) in Golden.

The weekend trip to the Centennial State will wrap up a stretch of three games in five days for the Tigers. FHSU opened the week with a dominant 93-39 win over Tabor on Tuesday (Nov. 29).Tickets can be purchased in advance to the game at Regis here and for the contest at Mines here. Admission at Regis will cost $12 for adults and $7 for seniors and students while youth five and under are admitted for free. Admission at Mines costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12-18, seniors and college students. Children 11 and under are admitted for free.

Fort Hays State has won 14 in a row against schools from the RMAC, with the last loss coming in 2007. The Tigers are 2-0 in Colorado under head coach Talia Kahrs after defeating Colorado Mesa and MSU Denver in Colorado last November.

The Tigers now lead the MIAA with a scoring margin of +28.4 and have the best scoring defense, allowing just 49.2 points per game. FHSU is shooting 47.3 percent from the floor, second-best in the league. The Tigers are outrebounding their opponents by 13.4 boards per game, the best margin in the conference by more than three rebounds. FHSU is also leading the conference in assists, averaging 20.4 per game.

Olivia Hollenbeck continues to lead the MIAA in scoring, averaging 19.6 points per contest. She is one of four Tigers averaging at least 10 points per night, joined by Katie Wagner DeGarmo (13.6 ppg), Talexa Weeter (12.6 ppg) and Kate Dilsaver (10.6 ppg).Hollenbeck climbed one spot on the FHSU all-time scoring list on Tuesday, climbing into eighth with 1,500 career points.

DeGarmo also cleared a pair of milestones on Tuesday, becoming just the second player in FHSU history to reach 1,000 career rebounds while also moving into third on the FHSU all-time scoring list with 1,800 career points.

The Tigers are 23-16 all-time against Regis, including wins in each of the last two meetings. FHSU is 7-12 on the road against the Rangers. In the most recent meeting the 10th-ranked Tigers scored 20 points off 20 Ranger turnovers in a narrow 59-55 FHSU win in Hays early in the 2015-16 season (11/21/15). FHSU hit just 32.8 percent from the floor (20-of-61) while Regis knocked down 47.5 percent of its shots (19-of-40), but the Tigers turned the ball over just six times to hold on to the win. Jill Faxon knocked down a pair of 3-pionters to lead the Tigers with 16 points.

Fort Hays State has dominated the series against Colorado School of Mines, leading 31-5. The Tigers are 12-5 on the road in Golden and have won each of the last five matchups. Fort Hays State never trailed in a nine-point road win over Mines in the most recent meeting more than 15 years ago, 56-47 (11/27/09). The Tigers hit 40.4 percent from the floor (19-of-47) while holding the Orediggers to a shooting percentage of 30.2 percent (16-of-53). Naomi Bancroft buried four 3-pointers to lead all scorers with 19 points while adding a team-high nine rebounds. Kayla Klug distributed four assists in the win.

Regis enters the weekend with an overall record of 2-2 after winning each of its last two games. Friday's contest is the first home game of the season for the Rangers. Regis ranks 258th out of 290 NCAA DII women's programs with a shooting percentage of 35.0 percent. They rank second in the RMAC with an average of 39.0 rebounds per night. Erin Fry leads the RMAC and ranks 15th in DII with an average of 21.0 points per game while her 4.5 assists per night are third-best in the RMAC.

The Orediggers head into Thanksgiving 1-4 overall, including losses in each of their last four games. Mines will make its home debut Friday when it hosts Minnesota State. This weekend's games will give the Orediggers four consecutive games against top-12 ranked teams (85-54 L at #6 MSU Billings, 83-57 L at #1 Texas Woman's, vs. #9 Minnesota State, vs. #12 Fort Hays State). Mines averages 61.8 points per night while allowing 74.4 points per contest. Emma Sixta is second in the RMAC with 12 3-pointers and a 3-point shooting percentage of 41.4 percent.
