Loralee T. Logan, 94, Hays, died Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Homestead of Hays.
She was born June 28, 1931 in Topeka, the daughter of Otto A. and Agnes C. (Higgins) Kasten. Loralee graduated from Hayden High School in 1949, and on November 6, 1950 she was united in marriage to Jack Neal Logan in Topeka. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 15, 2013.
Loralee loved her family and enjoyed spending time with Jack and her children while traveling to numerous destinations. She was a gifted seamstress, a collector of tea pots, butterflies, and Nancy Drew books, and she also enjoyed shopping at thrift shops and garage sales. As the World Turns was daily viewing for Loralee, and she also perused the dictionary for interesting words to use with her family and to give her an advantage when playing Scrabble with her mom, sister or anyone ready for a challenge.
Survivors include her sons Mark Logan and wife Donata of LaCrosse, Jay Logan and wife Jo of Bellvue, CO, and Jack G. Logan and wife Lisa of Belleville, IL, her daughter Linda Madzey of Kettle Falls, WA, eight grandchildren Shauna Logan, Scott Logan, Aaron Logan, Scott Peppard, Kevin Logan, Katie Logan, Amanda Araiza, and Alex Araiza, 11 great grandchildren Creiton, Kesilea, Benjamin, Stella, Paige, Tryston, Loraine, Elaine, Evan, Louis, and Marigold, and a great-great granddaughter Ayla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her daughter Donna Gail Logan, son-in-law Bob Madzey, her brother Vernon Kasten, two sisters, Marquita Boyd and Nadine Carter, a granddaughter Brandi Teresa Logan, and a great grandson Tony.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 11:30 on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home followed by graveside services and interment in Mt. Allen Cemetery with Rev.
