HAYS - The Hays High boys tennis team finished fifth in Abilene Tuesday.
Elijah Schmitz finished third at No. 2 Singles and the No. 2 Doubles team of Cyran Randle and Damian Guzman placed third. Brody Burns finished fifth in No. 1 Singles. The No. 1 Doubles team of Brian Nguyen and Brooks Dixon also finished fifth.
On Monday, the Indians took second place in Junction City. Hays went 3-3 in singles and 2-1 in doubles versus Junction City, then 0-6 in singles and 0-3 in doubles versus Washburn Rural.
