Gracie L. Perez, 88, passed away May 6, 2021 at the Center at Waterfront, Wichita.

She was born March 13, 1933 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of James Henry and Addie Clutch Henderson.

Moving from Arkansas, she has been a Larned resident since she was 18. She worked as an LPN at St Joseph Memorial Hospital for 25 years and later as a Licensed Mental Health Technician for Larned State Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned and the Altar Society. She enjoyed helping with church activities, planting flowers, and cruising in the country to see wildlife, birds, and farm animals. She absolutely adored her family and grandchildren, always doing anything they asked.

On March 6, 1954 she married Fheno G. Perez at Larned; he survives.

Survivors include: husband, Fheno G. Perez, Larned; a daughter, Regina (Harold) Henderson, Wichita; a son, Reginald (Erika) Perez, Wichita; a sister, ErmaLea (Herman) Butler, Harrison, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Kevin (Kayla) Perez, Alyssa Henderson, Makayla Perez, Ashley Tennant, and Nicholas Tennant; two sisters-in-law, Ann Perez and Lola Perez, both of Larned; and a brother-in-law, Raymond (Betty) Perez, Larned; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James and Addie Henderson; her father and mother-in-law, Pedro and Isabell (Geurrero) Perez; four sisters, Alice Martinez, Louise Barker, Pearl Howles, Cynthia Valines; two brothers, Bill Henderson, Clinton Henderson; a half-brother, Jamie Henderson; three sisters-in-law, Petra Perez, Mary Perez, Josie Perez; and two brothers-in-law, Ernie Perez and Harry Perez.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Pastor Bernard Felix and Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with a rosary and vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will take place following the service.
