Gregory Alan Cundiff

Gregory Alan Cundiff was born October 22, 1960, to Donald and Peggy (Fuller) Cundiff. He passed away on Oct. 4, 2020, at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin. Though he has passed from this life, he is yet alive in Christ Jesus his Lord.

Greg was a 1978 graduate of the Sharon Springs High School. After graduation, he entered the Army and later was a member of the Kansas Army Nation Guard, Det 2 (Colby) until 1984. He studied carpentry and plumbing at the Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland. On March 25, 1989, Greg married Janice May in Oberlin, KS. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the American Legion Honor Guard in Oberlin. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing and he was a Denver Broncos and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Richard Cundiff; two nephews; one niece and one great nephew. He is survived by his wife, Janice of Oberlin; sons, Jeffery Burkhead and Quintin (Lindsay) Cundiff; grandchildren, Carter and Joshua Cundiff; siblings: Vicky (Glenn) Case, Randy (Stacy) Cundiff, and Robin (Eric) McCoy; half-brother, Trampus (Heddy) Francis; step-brother, Todd Francis; step-father, Sonny Francis and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday, October 9, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oberlin. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Oberlin Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 1-7:00 pm at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00 pm.
