
Gayona “Gay” Ramsey, 86, of Greeley, CO, formerly of Colby, KS, died
July 6, 2021. She was born January 26, 1935, in Calico Rock, Arkansas,
to E.O. and Agnes Woody. Gay grew up in Dyess Colony Arkansas. Chopping
and picking cotton was her childhood.
Gay followed her parents to Colby, Kansas in late 1952. There she met John Ramsey. They were married May 5, 1954.
Gay devoted the rest of her life to her husband, three children, nine
grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren.
Gay was preceded in death by her parents E.O. and Agnes Woody; her
husband John R. Ramsey; her daughter Deanna Gay Ramsey, and two great
grandchildren Rayanna Harsh and Aaron James Brown. Gay is also joining
her brother, five sisters and several nieces and nephews in that
Unbroken Circle in the Sky.
Gay is survived by her two sons Benny and Randy Ramsey; daughter in laws
Patty and Debbie; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Adrienne, Clint, Sarah,
Aaron, Cody, Brandon, Erica and Taylor; seventeen great grandchildren
and two great-great grandchildren.
Gay never met anyone she didn't love and care about. Hate was beyond her
comprehension, anyone who knew her, enjoyed these gifts from her.

A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021,
at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with inurnment in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
