Kevin James O'Rourke, age 54, of Dallas, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in Dallas. He was born December 20, 1966, in Hays, Kansas to James Clarence and Rose Mary (Rupp) O’Rourke Egger. Kevin graduated from Ellis High School in 1985.
Kevin was an Aircraft Engineer with Bombardier in Dallas. He was an avid sports fan, especially of NASCAR, K-State Wildcats and the Boston Celtics.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Mary Egger of Hays; two stepsisters, Renee Rupp of Hays, and Raimy Hester of Hutchinson as well as uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James O’Rourke; a brother, Sean O’Rourke and a stepfather, Doug Egger.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 PM - 8 PM with a combined rosary and parish vigil at 7 PM all at the church. Wednesday visitation will be 9 AM until service time.
