Cecilia Edwards of Ellis died Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Hays Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1949, in Hays to Ralph and Barbara (Augustine) Burns. She married Homer Edwards on June 15, 1974, at St. Mary’s Church in Ellis. Cecilia attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Washington Grade School.
Cecilia loved spending time with her husband and their dog, Sugar.
Cecilia is survived by her husband, Homer of the home and her beloved dog, her sister Mary Ann (Marwan) Nahas of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph D. Burns and Barbara (Augustine) Burns-Cameron and her brother, Ralph Burns, Jr.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s Church, Ellis or the Human Society of the High Plains, Hays.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 12, 2020, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
