Gloria Jeanne Walker, 73, passed away on December 12, 2021 in Kansas
City, MO. She was born on April 5, 1948 in Colby, KS to Jack and Carol
(Carmen) McKee.
She grew up in Selden, KS and graduated from Hoxie High School in
1966. After high school she went to beauty school and then decided to
work at The Bank in Selden. On August 31, 1968 Gloria married Ellis
Walker at the United Methodist Church in Selden.
After they were
married they moved to Colorado and lived there for 38 years. Together
they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. In her spare time she loved to knit,
garden, especially roses, she also ran an in home daycare. She loved
being around kids. But mostly she loved spending time with her family.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Ellis Walker of Selden, KS; son,
Todd Walker of Selden, KS; daughter, Luann Walker of Norton, KS;
brother, Jeff (Jill) Hill of Littleton, CO; sister, Lynn (Darrell) Weick
of Olathe, KS; sister-in-law, Sueanne Hill of Hoxie, KS, and numerous
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Carol and
Dorman Hill; sons, Barry Walker and Brian Walker; brother, Mark Hill.
