
Robert L. “Bob” Dinkel, 89, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, KS.
Bob was born April 9, 1931, in
Victoria, KS to B.J. and Margaret (Kuhn) Dinkel. He was a 1950
graduate of Victoria High School. He was united in marriage to Marjorie
“Marge” Dinkel on November 15, 1954 in Ness City, KS. Bob was an Army
veteran and fought in the Korean War. Bob worked as an oil field pumper
and was employed by Petroleum Incorporated and later Universal
Resources for his last four years until his retirement in 1995. Upon
his retirement from the oil field, Bob worked at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church for 14 years.
Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Plainville VFW Post
8871. Bob enjoyed carpentry work and was often found in his workshop
handcrafting many projects.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory is his wife, Marge of the home;
daughters, JoAnn Dickinson (Dave) of Colorado Springs, CO and Cheryl
Klein (David) of Andover; brother, LeRoy Dinkel of Victoria; three
granddaughters, Melissa Johnson (Ryan), Amanda Jones (Calvin) and
Jennifer Young (Kevin); and three great-grandchildren, Emma and Paige
Jones, and Mason Johnson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 12,
2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Parish Vigil and
Rosary are planned for Friday evening at 7:00 PM at the church. Bob
will be inurned in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
