HAYS - Liberal scored 27 points and won the Hays High Tennis Invitational Monday at Hays High School. Scott City finished second with 22 points and Trego third with 21 points.
The Indians finished fifth.
The Indians No. 1 Doubles team of freshman Henry Fitzthum and junior Ryan Schukman went 3-1. Freshman Colin Clark and Logan Daniels went 2-2 at No. 1 Doubles but played for Trego.
The Golden Eagles Caden Brown went 3-1 in No. 1 Singles while Garvin Garza finished 2-2 at No. 2 singles. Trego’s 2 Doubles team of Isaac Brungardt and Micah Burk finished 4-0.
