Fort Hays State Men's Basketball is back on its home floor Monday night when it hosts Lincoln University at 5 pm inside Gross Memorial Coliseum. This contest was originally scheduled for Janaury 8, but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Lincoln program at that time. The Tigers (18-4, 13-4 MIAA) are looking for a sweep of three straight home games before hitting the road later this week.

The Tigers are coming off a 66-57 win over Northeastern State on Saturday afternoon in Hays. FHSU led that contest from start to finish, getting a complete team effort with four players scoring in double figures. Nyjee Wright led the scoring for FHSU with 14. In the win, Jared Vitztum moved up to sixth on the all-time scoring list at FHSU, now with 1,454 points. He is just five rebounds shy of third in school history.

This will be the first of two straight contests against Lincoln this week. After playing this make-up game on Monday night, the Tigers will head to face Lincoln in Jefferson City on Thursday night. That will be part of a two-game road swing in Missouri that concludes at Central Missouri on Saturday.

Lincoln enters this game 2-19 overall and 1-15 in the MIAA. The Blue Tigers are tied with Newman for last place in the MIAA standings. Lincoln's only conference win came earlier this month at home against Pittsburg State by a score of 98-87. The Blue Tigers nearly picked off Missouri Southern the following game, losing by just one point. This game marks three straight contests for the Blue Tigers in Kansas after falling at Washburn on Thursday night and Emporia State on Saturday night.

A win on Monday night can pull the Tigers within a game of second-place Central Oklahoma, and two games shy of first-place Northwest Missouri State. It would also put the Tigers a game clear of fourth-place Emporia State.
