WACO, Texas - Fort Hays State Football received more votes in the weekly AFCA Top 25 Poll. The most recent edition released on Monday has the Tigers with 23 voting points, the fifth-highest listed team in the receiving votes section of the poll.
Wins for Fort Hays State and Central Missouri over ranked teams caused some movement among MIAA teams in the Top 25. FHSU defeated a No. 11 ranked Emporia State team, which dropped to No. 20 this week following the result. UCM defeated a No. 5 ranked Pittsburg State team, which dropped to No. 13 this week. UCO survived an overtime scare with Missouri Western and moved up from No. 13 to No. 8 this week.
Fort Hays State and Central Missouri are both among the receiving votes list this week, the Tigers with 23 points and the Mules with 13. Both teams have three losses on the season, while all of the ranked teams from the MIAA have two or less.
In the latest D2Football.com Poll, Central Oklahoma is No. 7, Pittsburg State is No. 8, and Emporia State is No. 19.
