The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a chip seal project on June 20 on K-60 in Norton County.
The work will take place on the entire 4 miles of K-60 starting at the U.S. 36 junction and extending north to the K-383 junction near Almena. Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should plan for delays not exceeding 15 minutes.
KDOT expects the project to be completed in a week, conditions permitting.
APAC-Kansas Inc., Shears Division, of Hutchinson is the primary contractor for the $188,000 project. For more information, contact KDOT Area Construction Manager Dan Moore at 785-302-6200 or [email protected].
