MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Fort Hays State track and field teams capped off the final day of the MIAA Indoor Championships with several strong performances, highlighted by a record-breaking run from Emily Dierks in the women's 3,000-meter race. Both the men's and women's teams secured seventh-place finishes, with the men totaling 36 points and the women earning 35.
Diercks delivered the highlight of the day, rewriting her own school record in the 3,000m with a blistering time of 9:49.27. Her third-place finish secured All-MIAA honors and marked her second All-MIAA performance of the weekend. In the men's pole vault, Jacob Clark continued his dominance in the event, clearing 17-0.00 to place second and secure All-MIAA recognition. His performance also met the NCAA national qualifying standard. Teammate Josiah Ball added to the team's point total, finishing seventh after clearing 15-6.25.
