THOMAS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Thursday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 GMC Canyon driven by Ken A. Christiansen, 78, Brewster, was stopped at a stop sign on County Road AA at Kansas 25 facing east.
The pickup began to enter the intersection and attempted to turn left.
A southbound 2006 Peterbilt semi driven by Evan P Warren, 22, Culbertson, Nebraska, struck the front passenger side corner of pickup as it was attempting to make a sharp left U-Turn.
After impact the pickup came to rest in a grass field to the southwest of the intersection.
EMS transported a passenger in the pickup, Janet M. Christiansen, 77, Brewster, to Citizen's Medical Center. The drivers were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
