WASHINGTON – KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. is excited to announce that we have received two generous grants that will greatly improve accessibility on our campus.

The Hays Lions Club has awarded us a grant of $1,000, while the Washington County Community Foundation has provided a grant of $2,347. These funds will be used to purchase and install ADA-accessible doors for the west training building on the KSDS campus.

Replacing the ADA-accessible doors will significantly enhance the accessibility of our facilities, allowing all individuals, especially those with disabilities, to navigate our campus more easily. This improvement aligns with our mission to provide assistance dogs that promote greater independence and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

"We are extremely grateful to the Hays Lions Club and the Washington County Community Foundation for their generous support," said Duane Toews, CEO at KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. "These grants will enable us to foster a more inclusive environment for our clients and visitors.”

KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. has been dedicated to training and placing assistance dogs since 1990. Our programs include guide dogs for the visually impaired, service dogs for individuals with physical disabilities, and facility dogs for professionals in education, healthcare, and other fields.
