
Martha Gretchen Boor, 75, died on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at St Catherine
Hospital in Garden City. She was born on July 30, 1945, at Tribune the
daughter of Lloyd & Helen L. (Stamback) Hinton. She married John
Gribble on January 20, 1970, at Liberal. She later married Leon J. Boor
on July 11, 1991, at Garden City.
Martha graduated from Tribune High School and moved to Garden City to
work at the telephone company. She then worked at UPS for 14 years in
the office. She changed careers and graduated from the Cosmetology
Program at Garden City Community College and was a hairdresser for 10
years and then worked part time at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation
Center as the staff cosmetologist. She was a member of Turning Point
Church Of The Nazarene where she was active in the church dinners. She
also enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening and especially quilting.
She is survived by her Husband- Leon Boor, 3 Daughters- Leah Young of
Wichita, Angela Stone of Garden City and Jill Griffin of Wichita, 2
Step-Children- Charles Boor of Ketchikan, Alaska and Shelly Stout of
Bucklin, 3 Brothers- Paul Hinton of Redmond, Oregon, Jim Hinton of Hays
and Tom Hinton of Rosalia, 2 Sisters- Mary Reimer of Selkirk and Polly
Cartwright of Johnson, 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. She
is preceded in death by her Parents, Son- Tab Gribble, 2 Brothers- Larry
Hinton and Gary Hinton and Grandson- Justice Griffin.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Turning Point Church Of
The Nazarene with Rev Nathan Haeck officiating. The service will be
Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be
in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Memorials are suggested to
Turning Point Church Of The Nazarene in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
