RUSSELL — The Board of Directors of the Russell Public Library has chosen a replacement for outgoing Library Director Jessica M. McGuire.
Denise Ketchens has been a resident of Russell for the past three years and has been chosen to be the library's 10th director. She comes to the Russell Public Library with a variety of past library experience and was most recently director of the Oshkosh Public Library in Oshkosh, Neb. You might recognize Ketchens from her work in Russell at the Russell Area Chamber of Commerce and as the 2021 Prariesta Coordinator.
Ketchens has an associate of arts degree from Barton Community College in Great Bend and is currently working toward a bachelor of science in business at Fort Hays State University.
"It is great to know the library will be in such good hands," McGuire said.
