👟Hays High boys 8th; Girls 11th at state track and field meet

WICHITA – Mother nature forced the final day of the state track and field championships in Wichita to be delayed well into the night Saturday, and at the end the Hays High boys brought home seven medals on their way to an 8th place finish while the Indian girls finished 11th with seven top seven finishers.

Gus Corsair finished third in the boys discus (167-1) and was the highest boys finisher.

Sydney Lewallen finished 3rd in the 400 meters (57.81).

The Hays boys finished with 30 points and the girls had 26.5.
