The Hays USD 489 school board will discuss a change order for the new high school and additional work at the new Hays Middle School at its meeting tonight at 6:30.
The board will consider a $88,347 change order for the high school, which includes multiple items.
It will also consider a contract with ACM Removal LLS for $69,480 for the removal of floor tile and abatement of non-friable asbestos-containing mastic in hallway areas of the new HMS building at 2300 13th St.
Work is underway at the former high school to convert it into a new middle school.
Students and staff are set to move into the renovated space in January.
The board will also hear a report on possible changes in transportation eligibility as the middle school relocates to 13th Street.
Superintendent Ron Wilson will give updates about the HMS and O'Loughlin Elementary School construction projects.
