An Ellis County man was arrested after allegedly threatening two people in a Hays neighborhood.
Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler said 21-year-old Gabriel Moses Ramirez of Ellis County was arrested following a criminal threat investigation.
Scheibler said law enforcement received a tip indicating Ramirez would be in the 3300 block of Country Lane. He was located in the same area as the individuals he had allegedly threatened and was armed with a loaded 9mm handgun.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Ellis County Jail. Scheibler said requested charges include attempted first-degree murder, two counts of criminal threat and one count of possession of a firearm under the influence.
Scheibler credited the arrest to the swift response of the patrol division, led by Sergeant Dakota Reese, and the investigative work of Detective Sergeant Aaron Larson.
