FHSU Athletics
The Fort Hays State men's basketball team is just outside of the Top 25 in the latest editions of the NABC and D2CSC Top 25 Polls, released on Tuesday. The Tigers are the highest vote receiving team in the D2CSC poll, coming just one voting point shy of the Top 25, while they were the second-highest vote receiving team in the NABC poll, just eight voting points shy of the Top 25.
Northwest Missouri State and Central Oklahoma represent the MIAA in the Top 25 of both polls. NWMSU is No. 14 in the NABC poll and No. 15 in the D2CSC Poll. UCO is No. 17 in the NABC poll and No. 23 in the D2CSC Poll.
In the NABC poll, Fort Hays State is joined by Washburn, Missouri Western, and Emporia State in the receiving votes list. FHSU received the most votes of the MIAA teams in the list. Fort Hays State is the only MIAA team listed in the receiving votes list of the D2CSC poll.
Fort Hays State has been among the Top 25 only once this season, holding the No. 16 spot for a week in the D2CSC poll November 14-20. The Tigers have been in the receiving votes section of the NABC poll for four straight polls now.
The Tigers go on the road this week to Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State. It is the start of a three-game road swing for the Tigers over a two-week span.
