The Ellis County Commission will consider approving the preliminary plat for the Big Creek Estates Third Addition during its 8:30 a.m. meeting on Tuesday.
The item returns to the commission after additional review by the county planning and zoning board. The proposed project would be north of Reservation Road and include 14 residential lots and one stormwater retention lot.
Community improves district parameters
Commissioners will discuss and finalize standards for future community improvement districts, including the minimum number of petition signatures required, when road-related districts can be formed during development and the level of road improvements required.
DNSWK agreement for services
The commission will consider approving the 2026 services agreement with DSNWK. This would formalize previously approved funding levels.
In September 2025, the commission approved a $250,000 subsidy request for DSNWK, with additional funding of $120,000 for the child care program and $50,000 for ACCESS Transportation.
