Norton resident Veryl Dale Nyland, son of Henry and Edith (Penning) Nyland was born November 15, 1928, near Calvert, KS and passed away on October 18, 2020, at the Andbe Home, Norton, KS at the age of 91.
Veryl lived most of his life in the Norton area and worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation until retirement.
He is survived by three daughters Lois Peters and husband Alan of Inman, KS, Joyce Rogers and husband Jack of Long Island, KS and Karen Smith and husband Bob of Norton, KS; 11 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margarette; daughter Marjorie Lambert; great grandson Dusty Layne Yocum; brothers Wayne, Warren and Alfred who died in infancy; and a son-in-law LeRoy Lambert.
Cremation was chosen. Private family inurnment will take place at Norton Cemetery, Norton, KS at a later date.
