TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Volleyball Association is pleased to announce the 2020 Week 1 Volleyball Rankings. Records listed reflect information that was submitted by Monday, September 7.
Several area teams are in the first poll of the regular season. TMP-Marian, who was ranked No. 4 in Class 3A in the preseason poll is down one spot to No. 5. Phillipsburg drops two spots to No. 7.
In Class 1A - Division 1, Victoria is down four spots to No. 8. Thunder Ridge was not ranked in the preseason poll but is in this week at No. 9.
In Class 1A - Division 2, defending 1A state champ Central Plains remains No. 1, Wheatland/Grinnell drops three spots to No. 9 and Otis-Bison debuts at No. 10.
Current classifications for the rankings are based on enrollments from 2019-20 and the rankings will be adjusted when the updated classifications are released at the end of September.
