⛳ Ringnecks, Monarchs make the cut to day 2 of 2A state golf

HESSTON - The TMP-Marian boys golf team shot a 358 and edged Syracuse by one stroke to make the cut to day two of the 2A State Golf Tournament at the Hesston Golf Course. Hill City is in second place after a 315 on Monday. They are 18 shots behind Salina-Sacred Heart.

After the completion of the first 18 holes, the top six team scores and the individuals, not on one of the six teams, that bring the day two field to a total of 54 will qualify for day two.

The Ringnecks Ben Deges is tied for fourth after a 74. TMP-Marian’s Pake Dewey and Landon Rozean are both part of a 6-way tie for 25th after shooting rounds of 85 Monday.

Austin Carroll of Ellis shot an 83 and is tied for 17th along wtih Hill City’s Dylan Budig. Carroll made the cut to Tuesday's second round.

Plainville's Noah Brewster shot a 93 and Jayden Morris a 95. Neither advanced to the second round.
