LARNED – The Monarchs boys golf team placed four golfers inside the top 20, and all broke 100 again as they earned a third-place finish Tuesday at the Larned Invitational at Edwards Park Golf Course in Larned.

Hoisington won the team title (338), followed by Russell (348). The Monarchs (354) finished 16 strokes back of first place.

Chase Drennon finished 11th with an 18-over. Kolby Olmstead (+18) finished 13th, Charlie Pope (+19) was 15th, and Mason Rozean (+19) placed 16th.

Ashton Drennon (+21) finished 20th, and Henry Stiles rounded out the Monarchs’ finishers in 28th place (+29).

The Monarchs’ 372 adjusted team score ranks ninth in the Kansas Golf Coaches Association rankings this week.
