A man accused of stealing funds from Thomas More Prep-Marian made his first appearance in court on Tuesday.

Former TMP employee Joseph Aaron Roth, 31, of Hays, is facing a theft charge for allegedly transferring&nbsp;$19,153 from a TMP account into his personal account.

The crime is listed in court records as a level 9 nonperson felony.

He entered a not guilty plea on March 10.

Roth's next appearance in court is set for May 20.
