Roy Janas Torres, age 70, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Adventhealth Porter Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Texas to Lionicio and Mary Janas Torres. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Leoti, Kansas, and a lifelong resident of the community.
On February 28, 1972, Roy married Theresa Ann Hernandez at St. Athony’s of Padua in Leoti, Kansas. She survives.
Roy is survived by his children Monica & Seth Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Abel Torres of Wichita, Kansas, his grandchildren Sonnie Altman of Garden City, Kansas, Lennox Torres of Hugoton, Kansas, Jaxson Torres of Hugoton, Kansas, Kylei Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, Brooklyn Berryman of Amarillo, Texas, Regan Sullivan of Amarillo, Texas, and his siblings Elida & Tony Hernandez of Leoti, Kansas, Lupe Rodriguez of Leoti, Kansas, Tom Torres of Dimmitt, Texas, and Louis Torres of San Antonio, Texas.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, his son Roy Torres Jr., and several siblings.
