⛳TMP girls 4th at Larned; headed back to state

LARNED – The TMP-Marian girls golf team is headed back to the 3-2-1A state golf tournament after a fourth place finish at the Larned Regional Monday at the Larned Country Club.

The Monarchs combined for a 440 team total. Colby won the team title with a 377.

Madelyn Rozean lead TMP with a tie for seventh-place individual finish. She finished with a 27-over 99.

Ashley Hipp was 14th (+34), Mykayla Romme T25th (+43), Jenna Brull 29th (+48) and Ave Schumacher 56th (+71).

Colby’s Anna Starbuck won the individual title with a five-over 77.

Plainville’s Emily Stamper also qualified for the state tournament as an individual with a third place finish after shooting a 23-over 95.

The 3-2-1A state tournament is Oct. 17 and 18 at Hutchinson-Cary Park.
