Another record high temperature was recorded in Hays Thursday.
According to the K-State Agricultural Research Center, the daytime high on August 13 was 111 degrees. That's three degrees higher than the previous record for August 13 of 108 degrees in 1936.
The research center measured 0.20" of precipitation overnight. The Eagle Media Center received 0.23 of an inch.
There is some relief with cooler temperatures and a chance of precipitation over the next few days.
The three-day weather forecast calls for more moderate conditions through Monday.
