🤼Hoxie runs away with 3-2-1A state championship

The Hoxie Indians had three individual state champions and seven medal winners on their way to the 3-2-1A team championship this weekend at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays.

Of the 14 weight classes Hoxie collected three individual championship, Norton finished with two and nine other schools had an individual champion.

Hoxie finished with 186 total points. Douglass was second with 89 points and Plainville fourth with 84.

Ellis had four state placers with Mason Younger finished second at 120 pounds. Jarrett Mader was sixth at 138. George Crawford fifth at 160 and Mason Gottschalk was fourth at 182.

Plainville had five medal winners. Cohen Kaiser was fourth at 106. Logan Normandin third at 132. Ben Hansen second at 182. Kyle Werner fifth at 195. Draxtin Hovis fifth at 220.

Trego's Tanner Sells with the lone placer for the Golden Eagles bringing home a second-place finish.
