Eileen M. (Wagoner) Nondorf, 90, died at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne, Kansas on Monday, August 3, 2020.
Eileen was born March 20,
1930, the daughter of Ed and Katherine (Schwartz ) Wagoner. Eileen’s
parents were lifelong farmers in Western Kansas. Eileen graduated from
Sheridan County High School with the class of 1948. She married Joseph
Nondorf on February 9, 1949 at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church,
Hoxie, Kansas.
Eileen was a lifelong resident of Hoxie and owner of the Creative
Crafts Store for many years. She was an expert seamstress and won many
ribbons for her knitting, crocheting, and embroidery projects. She won a
Kansas State Fair Ribbon for 1st place for a knitted afghan.
Eileen is survived by her sister, Doreen Kennedy of Hoxie, Kansas;
son, William Nondorf and wife Shelley of Hoxie, Kansas; daughter, Joleen
McCombe of Hoxie, Kansas,; Granddaughter, Samatha Thibodeau of
Lawrence, Kansas; Grandson, Cole Nondorf and wife Allison of Hoxie,
Kansas; great-granddaughter, Kenzie Nondorf of Hoxie; great-grandson,
Kooper Nondorf of Hoxie; and great-granddaughter, Ave Thibodeau of
Lawrence, Kansas,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nondorf; parents,
Ed and Katherine Wagoner; sisters, Patricia Foster and Marjorie Buechon;
brothers, Wilfred, Ken, Leroy and Jim Wagoner.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, August 7, 2020, at the
St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Cemetery, Hoxie, Kansas at 9:45 A.M.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. until
7:00 P.M. at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie, Kansas. Family
will be present at the visitation from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. to
greet friends. Memorials are suggested to Hoxie Recreation and may be
