An Ellis man pleaded not guilty to four charges of alleged sexual acts with children younger than the age of 14 today in Ellis County District Court.
One case, filed in 2024, and another, filed in 2025, have been consolidated into a single case.
Heath Ryan Robins is charged with alleged rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child younger than the age of 14 between Jan. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2013.
He is also charged with alleged aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties with a child younger than the age of 14 between May 29, 2018, and Nov. 29, 2018.
Robins appeared via Zoom for his arraignment in front of Judge Tom Drees.
He is facing a maximum sentence of life without possibility of parole for 25 years and a $500,000 fine on each count.
Robins is in custody at the Ellis County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond. He previously filed a motion for a bond reduction, but it was denied.
A trial has been set for Sept. 28. Robins is scheduled to be back in court for a status conference on Aug. 3.
