Patricia Ann (Stapp) Wurm, 81, was born October 13, 1940, to Forrest and
Nadine (Leopold) Stapp in Wilsonville, NE. Later raised by her
stepfather Alva Van Vleet and Nadine. Patricia passed away on October
31, 2021, at Ridgewood Care and Rehab in Seward, NE.
She attended school in Danbury, NE. After graduation she went to
Secretarial School in Denver. On February 2, 1961, she married Dennis
Wurm in Danbury at the home of her parents. They moved around some but
lived most of their married life in Oberlin, KS.
She was an EMT for Decatur County for many years. Pat also filled in
at the schools and courthouse in the janitorial department, she
volunteered at the Senior Center and drove the meal site bus before
suffering a stroke in 2019. That’s when she moved to Ridgewood Care and
Rehab in Seward, NE.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oberlin, KS for
many years. She enjoyed going to Bible study and visiting with people.
She liked to go dancing and put puzzles together in her spare time. She
especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, and husband, Dennis.
Survived by her sons: Charles (Sharon) Wurm of Staplehurst, NE and
Kevin Wurm of Hyannis, NE; brother: Robert (Sandy) Stapp of Danbury, NE;
grandchildren: Malorie (Shane Ratkovec) Gregory of David City, NE,
Kiefer Wurm of Lincoln, NE, Aaron Wurm of Lincoln, NE, Chris Wurm of
Mullen, NE and Jeremiah Wurm of Mullen, NE; great grandchildren:
Savannah Gregory, Jackson Gregory, Harley Wurm, Harper Wurm, Calista
Ratkovec, Riley Ratkovec, Logan Ratkovec, Liliana Ratkovec and Taevyn
Wurm.
