HAYS - The Hays High boys golf team won their own Bob Blazer/Hays High Invitational Monday at Smoky Hill Country Club. The Indians shot a 323 and finished four stokes ahead of Dodge City and five better than Salina Sacred Heart.
Caleb Thompson fired a 7-over-par 78 and finished second, one shot behind Liberal's Kale Miller. Braiden Bickle and Trey Oakley both had rounds of 80 with Bickle placing fifth and Oakley sixth. Miles Wiemer shot an 85 and finished 15th.
