Former TMP-Marian standout Carson Jacobs has been promoted to the to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers in the Chicago White Sox organization. The 6-9 right-handed pitcher had been in the Arizona Complex League since signing with the White Sox as an undrafted free agent last July.
Jacobs had a 1-1 record with one save and a 3.22 ERA in 18 relief appearances this season with the ACL White Sox. He allowed 10 runs (8 earned) on 15 hits with 30 strikeouts and 14 walks over 22 1/3 innings with opponents hitting .188 against him.
The Cannon Ballers (A) are in Kannapolis, North Carolina and play in the Low A League East.
Jacobs played his at Newman his freshman year of college then transferred to Gateway Community College in Phoenix, Ariz. He finished up his collegiate career at North Dakota State.
