
The National Weather Service in Dodge City is predicting dangerously cold wind chills starting Sunday.
After a high in the low-30s Thursday, the mercury will rise to the mid-40s on Friday and mid-30s on Saturday before a cold front arrives.
The temperature is expected to dive Saturday night, with an overnight low of 3 degrees. The highs Sunday through Wednesday are expected to reach the mid-teens. Overnight lows will be in the low single digits.
Wind chills will be well below zero.
There is a slight chance of snow in the Hays area Saturday night, the only precipitation in the long-range forecast.
