Fort Hays State Men's Basketball is back among the receiving votes section of the NABC Top 25 Poll. The Tigers have been among the receiving votes section in four releases of the poll this year, which includes the preseason poll and regular season polls released on November 29 and December 6.

The MIAA currently has three teams ranked among the Top 25. Northwest Missouri State checks in at No. 5 this week, while Central Oklahoma holds the No. 8 ranking. NWMSU and UCO have been responsible for two of FHSU's three losses this season. Emporia State, which handed Northwest Missouri State its only loss this season, is No. 20 this week.

Fort Hays State will play at home twice this week, facing Missouri Southern on Thursday (Jan. 5) and Pittsburg State on Saturday (Jan. 7). Missouri Southern is 8-4 overall and handed Central Oklahoma its only loss of the season so far, while Pittsburg State is 5-8 overall.
