ELLIS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9a.m. Tuesday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 GMC Yukon driven by Patricia Dreiling, 75, Victoria, was westbound on Interstate 70 five miles east of Hays.
The SUV struck a 2018 Ford Uhaul driven by Hannah Kostoff, 28, Richmond, Virginia, who was stopped in the driving lane after running out of fuel.
EMS transported Dreiling to Hays Medical Center. Kostoff was not injured. The KHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
