Ellis County Sheriff's Office
At 1:50 p.m. Friday, a 911 call was received reporting a two-vehicle injury accident located at the intersection of 110th Avenue and Fairground Road in Ellis County.
Emergency personnel responded and declared the passenger of one of the involved vehicles — a 93-year-old female — deceased on scene. A 17-year-male and a 79-year-old male were transported by Ellis County EMS to HaysMed for medical treatment. All three accident victims were/are Ellis residents.
The fatality accident is still under investigation by the Ellis County Sheriff's Office and the 23rd Judicial District Coroner's Office. The name of the decedent and those involved are intentionally being withheld pending notification of next of kin. First responders from Ellis County Emergency Medical Service, Ellis County Rural Fire, and Ellis Police Department also responded to assist with the scene.
