Good Samaritan Society –Hays confirms all 61 residents who were part of a the mass testing event on Tuesday, July 7 tested negative for COVID-19.
All 64 staff were tested as well, and two of those tests returned positive.
Both staff members remain out on leave and will return to work once cleared to do so.
A second round of mass testing is underway for employees and residents today.
"While we continue to pray for our staff members, we are happy to share that all staff and families are doing well at this time and we praise God for the negative results for all residents," a news release said.
"We continue to work side by side with our local and state health departments as we work through these challenging times. As always, the health, safety and well-being of our residents, staff and the community we serve is our top priority.”
