ELLIS COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Thursday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Sergio- Torres-Ramirez, 60, Wichita, was westbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of Walker.
The pickup traveled off the roadway into the north ditch. The vehicle traveled back onto the roadway and struck a parked 2014 Nissan Rogue.
EMS transported Torres-Ramirez, 2 pedestrians near the Nissan identified as 37-year-old Cassendra M. Hatzenbuehler and 33-year-old Jamie Feger both of Great Bend and a 15-year-old Great Bend girl sitting in the back seat of the Nissan to Hays Medical Center.
Torres-Ramirez was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
