
Maurice Joseph Cersovsky, 84, of Colby, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Citizens Medical Center, in Colby. He was born April 9, 1937, in Atwood, to Frank and Helen (Mergenmeier) Cersovsky.
Maurice was a United States Army Veteran. He loved the country and had a sharp mind for business and finance, which served him well as a lifelong farmer.
On
June 15, 1974, Maurice married Barbara Williams. Maurice enjoyed food,
especially German and Mexican food. He was a talker, loved people, and
enjoyed visiting with others at the coffee shop. He also loved to
travel. Trips to California and Canada, were some of his favorites.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents; wife Barbara and siblings,
Paul Cersovsky, Rosalie Cersovsky and Robert Cersovsky.
He is survived by his children, Tina (Jerry) Carpenter, Manhattan, Kan.,
Shelly (Scott) Rochester, Baldwin City, Mike (Saima) Richards,
Omaha, Neb., Bret Richards, El Cajon, Calif. and Lisa (Carlo) Cersovsky,
Oakville, Ontario, Canada; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Baalmann
Mortuary, Colby.
Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby, with burial in the church cemetery.
