Jeanette Faye Taylor passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2022, in Garden City, Kansas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1938, in Garden City to Elmer and Eva "Mae" Blackwell Fletcher. She grew up on a farm in the small community of Marienthal, Kansas, where she attended grade school graduating as valedictorian of her 8th grade class, then graduating from Leoti High School in 1956.

On April 5, 1962, Jeanette married the love of her life, Dale Taylor. They moved to Garden City in 1967 where they raised their family. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper at local pharmacies. She volunteered at St. Catherine Hospital, Fry Eye Clinic, and the Finney County Senior Center where she also spent many hours playing cards with the many friends she made there. Jeanette's favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had many great friends and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Tina Roe (Bruce) of Goodland, Kansas, Brenda (Robert) Short, Macon, MO, and Alisa (Steve) Emick of Garden City, Kansas, 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City at 10:00 AM with graveside service immediately following. Burial will be at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Memorials may be written to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Hospital, or Wounded Warrior Project, all in care of the funeral home.
