Larks hit four homeruns in win over Pirates

LA SALLE, CO. – Jake Wyeth hit two of the Larks four homeruns Tuesday and drove in six as Hays beat the Colorado Pirates 14-8 in in La Salle Colorado.

Wyatt Divis and Wyeth each homered in the first but Colorado scored five in the bottom of the first inning and led 5-3.

The Larks scored five in the top of the third thanks to a 3-run Wyeth homerun and a pair of bases loaded walks as they built an 8-5 lead.

Hays got two runs in the eighth and added four in the ninth, highlighted by a two-run Dylan Dreiling homerun on their way to the 14-8 win.

Jake Wyeth homered twice and drove in six runs and Wyatt Divis and Grant Lung collected three hits and scored three runs.

Cole Zimmerman earned the win in relief. He allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out three in three innings.

Hays improved to 6-1 and will take on the Colorado Roughriders Wednesday afternoon.
