TREGO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Tuesday in Trego County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Hyundai passenger vehicle driven by David Lee Allen, 57, Sherman, Texas, was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of the Ogallah exit.
The driver attempted to pass a 2106 Ford Escape driven by Clayton James Sargent, 24, Canton. Allen lost control of the Hyundai. It struck the Ford and then collided with a guardrail.
EMS transported a passenger in the Hyundai Chong Allen, 59, Sherman, Texas, to the Trego County Hospital. The drivers were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
