Phillipsburg resident Helen M. Eller passed away April 26, 2021, at the Phillips County Retirement Center, Phillipsburg, at the age of 84.

She was born September 13, 1936, in Bird City, KS the daughter of William and Lillis (Jennings) Manion.

Helen was united in marriage on February 28, 1953, in Lebanon, KS to LeRoy Eller. 

Helen was a Certified Medical Aide and worked with the Phillips County Hospital Long Term Care, Kensington Nursing Home, then for Phillips County Retirement Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband LeRoy; a daughter Susan Eller; two sons Glenn and Willie Eller; grandson-in-law Travis Jensen; and a grandson Daniel Collins.

Survivors include a daughter Donita Buck and husband Ron of McCook, NE; daughters-in-law Karen Eller of Kirwin and Starla Conner of Phillipsburg; a brother Bill Manion and wife Carol of Topeka, KS; 3 grandsons Brent & wife Kelsey of Kirwin, Scott and wife Abbey of Phillipsburg, Phillip & Wife Haley of Beloit; 5 granddaughters Candie Jensen of Kirwin, Crystal (Collins) Winters of Phillipsburg, Marissa (Collins) Wallgren and husband Ron of Hays, Melody Collins of Hays, and Tiffani (Eller) Killion and husband Payton of Kearney, NE; and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Nazarene Church in Gaylord, KS with Pastor Brian Loreg officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gaylord Cemetery.

Mrs. Eller will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS.  The family will receive friends that evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home for visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Mercy Hospital.
